March 17, 2014, the Chongqing Municipal Government hold the 40th executive meeting, finalize the planning and construction of Xian Tao big data industrial park, focusing on the layout of big data, small sensor, mass storage and the cloud application, in total of four industrial sectors, to develop of a major financial data, big health data, education data, as well as cross-border electricity supplier, such like above mentioned high value-added industries. Xian Tao Big Data Valley (referred XTB Valley) is to adapt to the rapid rise of global data and intelligent hardware industry trends, is committed to fostering the development of cutting-edge industries and innovation ecosystem to build international competitiveness of China's large data industrial park, in the April of 2014 by Chongqing municipal government approval to start construction of this large data industrial park, land area of 1.77 square kilometers, planning construction area of 1.6 million square meters, basically completed by the end of 2017.
